    Review based on DELIVERY only.

I want to preface my review that this is solely based off of my delivery experience with Pho Bac; based off the other reviews I read, I was really looking forward to getting the opportunity to try this place. Unfortunately, this wouldn't be that time.

I placed my order at 8:30PM and got a confirmation with an expected delivery time of 9:09-9:29PM, but held no personal expectation of the timeframe. An hour delivery time? Pretty normal.

9:30PM rolls around after never having received an update (in the app).

9:40PM... no update so I give a call to yelp/grubhub customer service to inquire about my order and they were unable to to reach the restaurant and get an eta. I was given the options of continue waiting or cancelling my order and after having waited all this time, I was still hopeful that despite no contact, that they were on their way.

    *Narrator Voice: They Weren't*

9:55PM...Knowing that they were closing in mere minutes, I gave a call back to yelp/grubhub support to cancel. Again, they weren't able to contact the restaurant so I unfortunately canceled.

It's never ok to scold a customer for politely requesting extra soy sauce. Tonight is unfortunate, because it's absolutely the last time I will patronize this restaurant. I discovered it a few months ago and upon doing so found myself ordering the same dish (Shrimp Pad Thai) at least 2 or 3 times within a a couple of weeks of discovering Pho Bac. The dish was great. My last two orders not so much.

My first few interactions were pretty cool. Friendly service by the person taking my order (one of the owners/son) and then another time by someone else. No problem. Service was fine. Here's where the 1 star ("wish I could give a zero star comes in...") my last two times of ordering (including today and maybe two months ago my interaction with the older lady who I discovered is mom of the shop/owner. Her customer service towards me the first time was not friendly and actually made me think twice about coming back. Tonight was the finishing touch to never again getting my money or recommendations to friends. Her behavior was completely unacceptable. She blamed language barrier as the issue but a smile, "a polite wait one second hand gesture", listening, going to get help is UNIVERSAL.

The older lady (who did not take my order - her daughter Jasmine took my order by phone) greeted me upon my arrival. I asked if I could get an extra SOY sauce. She immediately looks in the bag and says in a semi loud rude tone there's sauce in here. I try to diffuse her escalating and being rude with a
smile, a low tone, and asked her name. I just wanted to try and engage her as a neighbor eating at the neighborhood restaurant--she refused to give her name. Instead called her daughter out and still talking loud and rude about my request for some SAUCE (probably less than ounce of sauce!) Never did she smile and say she'd be right with me when I entered she just went right into a nasty mode fussing at me about SAUCE. Not sure what that's about but this time was very similar to my first experience with her a couple months ago.
Today, I almost walked out and left the order. My patronizing her business should be seen as a blessing not an opportunity to scold or mistreat me. I'm done here. Food can be great but me taking time away from eating the meal I just ordered to write a review because of bad service is unacceptable. As an entrepreneur I know how precious people's dollars, time, patronizing my business is to the success of my business and household. This woman needs to let the other associates handling "serving" customers if she takes issue with "serving" certain people!

Came in on a Sunday afternoon for Pho on a rainy day. We sat at the bar to watch the Ravens (WOOP!). The bartender was timely and encouraged us to try the special appetizer - fried tofu bites flavored with lemongrass. While they looked sort of sad (different size bites, no sauce, no garnish), the taste was delicious! We added some chili paste because we like spice and they were great! Highly recommend.

We each had a noodle soup. I had a #11a Bun Bo Hue with pork knuckle, ham and brisket. I really regret thus order. The broth was yummy but not spicy as advertised  and the "knuckle" was nauseating to look at and i had to pick out the meat. The ham looked like the lining of a pigs stomach. Maybe it is??? I don't want to see it. Taste was bland.

My boyfriend got a special lemongrass noodle soup with corn, tomato toes and shrimp. His broth was way too lemongrass-y and salty. Couldn't have more than a taste and he couldn't finish half of it (this is very different for him). The shrimps came tail on which just make it difficult to eat.

Not great food but the bar was clean and service was great. Maybe the rest of the menu is better?

Yet another wonderful little place in Canton. The Ph is the main event but they also have flavorful fresh rolls and other tasty entrees. I recently had the Bun Bo Hue which has a wonderfully spicy lemongrass broth and uses a slightly thicker noodle than traditional Ph. Like many places in the Canton area, this looks like it may have been a private residence at some point. That's part of what gives these restaurants so much charm. It's laid out on two floors and the entire place is clean as a whistle with extremely friendly staff.
